dance performance- seeing comes before words

Seeing establishes the perceived object. This object is a dancer. What feelings does the beholder experience when the object keeps changing its identity, shedding a predefined form to pursue constant transformation? What feelings do we experience on seeing a creative act happen live – and on seeing the same act on video? In this performance, dancers experiment with the very perception of a dancer, of their sex, image, way of moving and the border between a work of art and its documentation. In doing so, they influence the perception of the recipient.

Concept and execution: Anna Steller, Krzysztof “Leon” Dziemaszkiewicz, Maciek Salamon
