Aleksandra Śliwińska

A dancer, earlier she used to work with a social dance group, then with “Figiel” Youth Dance Group led by Małgorzata Lorenc. There, she started her dance passion which continues till today.
A participant to numerous dance and theatre performances in choreography by Małgorzata Lorenc, which received awards during regional reviews. She took part in many international dance workshops (Gdańsk, Koszalin, Kalisz) in modern dance, improvisation, contact improvisation, expressive dance, Body Mind Centering, buto dance and others. She has been a student of Milena Jurczyk, Bogumiła Ćwięk, Witold Jurewicz, Leszek Bzdyl, Marek Lachowicz, Beata Owczarek. She was also an auditor to Dance Instructors Course in Koszalin ’96-97. A significant impact on her work with body and movements in the world of dance and theatre was made by masters of Japanese Butō dance.
Her first choreography “Skazani” (Convicted) was created in 1997. Next in 2001in Gdańsk, she created a choreography with z Agnieszka Kamińska called “Anioł w Królestwie” (Angel in the Kingdom), and in 2002 a choreography entitled “Odcienie aksamitu” (Shades of velvet) with Alicja Kurek.
